Let’s turn back the clock for a few moments. It’s 1998. We are dressed in sequin from head to toe, dancing our little hearts out, and singing “Love Shack” at the top of our lungs.

I bet you’re not thinking about show choir, are you? Well, honestly…we really weren’t, either. I mean, c’mon, we were in high school. We were thinking about boys, food, fun, boys, our social calendar…and BOYS. Those were the days.
Now that I have your attention, let’s fast forward 19 years. Meet my friend Jayne. She’s amazing. We danced and sang together in that oh-so-glamorous show choir, SO long ago…and now we are mommas together. I just couldn’t possibly be happier for her. She moved to KC a few months ago with her husband Taylor, and this week, they welcomed their first baby into the lives.
What a blessing it was to be able to document John’s first few days in this world. He’s doing awesome! And Jayne? Well, she is a natural…this momma thing looks good on her.
Even better than sequin, if I must say so myself. 😉
