He jokingly made fun of his wife because she couldn’t jump…and that witty banter turned into a sweet little nickname for their baby. They started calling him their little “Chulenga”…and it stuck. As her belly grew, so did their excitement. You see, Farzad and Lisa had no idea what they were having and were excited to keep it a surprise. But, this sweet baby had a surprise of his own. Just a few weeks before his due date, he flipped himself around. Breech. Therefore, this birth quickly went from a question mark, to a date on the calendar.
He had thrown them a curveball, but they were ready…May 4th. The day they would meet their little chulenga.
He arrived via c-section, perfectly beautiful and healthy. And all BOY! They named him Nima, which means “little prince”…and he is just that. He is so perfectly created, and so unbelievable handsome. His mom and dad won me over right from the start when I did their maternity session a few weeks back, and he was no different; I was smitten pretty much immediately.
I headed into the heart of downtown Kansas City to do his newborn shoot. And let me tell ya. Combine his incredible sweetness with the natural light found in their high rise luxury apartment, and you’ve got a killer portrait session. I swear I was up so high I felt light headed when I walked in their door. Not even kidding. Windows for walls, and an absolutely GORGEOUS view of the city.
However…I think that beautiful view has just been replaced. By another, even MORE beautiful view.
